Yamane

Yamane is a simple and affordable Japanese-style hotel in one of Nozawa Onsen’s quieter historic areas. The 19-room property offers a relaxed base close to the village, with the main shopping street and Oyu Onsen around a 5-minute walk away. The Yu-Road travelator is approximately 9 minutes on foot, providing convenient access towards the Hikage ski area.

The hotel features a lounge, separate men’s and women’s hot baths, ski storage and a dining room serving a simple breakfast buffet. Guests also have access to Wi-Fi, heating, safety deposit boxes, towels, board games and courier services.

We booked through Anna O’Malley for our stay in Nozawa onsen Village in Japan. Seamless service, prompt, and pricing reasonable. The Shimataya View Hotel, was a lovely stay. Room size was large, great views, and Amazing service from Staff. Momoi and Eloisa couldn’t help enough- from dinner reservations to organising luggage to Tokyo. Property is older, though clean, well maintained. 10 min walk to slopes, 5 min walk to village centre. I recommend Mountain Watch, and this property. Photos are the view from our room.
