Palisades Tahoe is one of the largest ski areas in North America, and was the hosts of the 1960 Winter Olympics. The resort boasts an impressive average annual snowfall of 11m. Palisades has a huge variety of terrain and while it is renowned for its steep big mountain terrain, it is also a mountain with everything – from a large beginners’ area, some awesome tree skiing and a variety of terrain parks. Palisades offers a wide range of different eateries throughout the valley, and there are a few decent watering holes but this resort is not renown for its nightlife.
