A unique resort town, firmly connected to it’s ranching roots and Western tradition, Steamboat is tucked away 3-4 hours from Denver, Colorado. Being that Steamboat is some distance from Denver, this tends to eliminate the day trippers from making their way to the resort which often helps to keep crowds away. Steamboat is actually a complete mountain range: Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge, and Christie Peak. 2,965 acres (1200 hectares), 18 lifts and 169 trails of permitted terrain offer a diversity of trails for all levels of ability.
