Mt Hutt is located less than two hours from Christchurch in New Zealand’s South Island, and is an amazing ski destination that’s regularly voted New Zealand’s best Ski Resort at the World Ski Awards. There is a good variety of terrain here from mellow slopes and magic carpets for beginners, pristine groomers for intermediates to gnarly ungroomed chutes for experts. There is no accommodation on the mountain here and everyone stays in the local town of Methven less than 40mins away. The small town of Methven features a good selection of bars, restaurants and pubs to get you refuelled after a day on the mountain.
