Rooms are classic Japanese style, featuring tatami flooring, low tables with floor cushions, and futon bedding. While bathrooms are shared, each room includes a private toilet, mini fridge, tea-making facilities, and an LCD TV. The largest option is the triple standard, accommodating up to three guests.

Ideally located in the historic part of the village, Kiriya is just a 3-minute walk to the Yu-Road moving walkway and under 5 minutes to the main street – placing you close to dining, shopping, and the slopes.

We booked through Anna O’Malley for our stay in Nozawa onsen Village in Japan. Seamless service, prompt, and pricing reasonable. The Shimataya View Hotel, was a lovely stay. Room size was large, great views, and Amazing service from Staff. Momoi and Eloisa couldn’t help enough- from dinner reservations to organising luggage to Tokyo. Property is older, though clean, well maintained. 10 min walk to slopes, 5 min walk to village centre. I recommend Mountain Watch, and this property.
