All rooms maintain a distinctly Japanese feel, and if you choose Japanese beds, the staff will fold up your futon every morning, place it in the cupboard, and replace it with a low table and seat backs.

With what must be one of the most beautiful onsens in Japan, Ryokan Sakaya offers male and female facilities featuring an indoor and an outdoor onsen. This is the perfect spot for guests to relax after a day on the slopes. At no extra cost, guests can reserve the private family onsen that fits 4 people for up to an hour. Guests will also have access to the sauna or can immerse themselves at the full service spa for a massage or facial. The cost is a little more expensive than the other accommodation options in Nozawa, but it’s well worth it.
