Snowgum Lodge is a welcoming, social, and affordable lodge ideal for travellers chasing Japan’s famous powder in Niseko without the high price tag. With capacity for just 35 guests, it’s a cosy place to connect with fellow skiers and boarders.

Accommodation is dorm-style with shared bathrooms and access to self-catering facilities. After a big day on the mountain, unwind by the fireplace in the spacious communal lounge.

With three convenient shuttle options – Grand Hirafu’s Resort Shuttle, Snowgum’s own in-house service, and a dedicated First Tracks service – getting to the lifts and into Hirafu Village is quick and hassle-free.

We booked through Anna O’Malley for our stay in Nozawa onsen Village in Japan. Seamless service, prompt, and pricing reasonable. The Shimataya View Hotel, was a lovely stay. Room size was large, great views, and Amazing service from Staff. Momoi and Eloisa couldn’t help enough- from dinner reservations to organising luggage to Tokyo. Property is older, though clean, well maintained. 10 min walk to slopes, 5 min walk to village centre. I recommend Mountain Watch, and this property. Photos are the view from our room.
