Known for serving mouthwatering, huge, gourmet burgers in a fun atmosphere with awesome staff. A great place to dine after an epic day on the mountain also offering some top shelf whiskey. Try the Crunchy Chikita and a Whiskey Sour.

Aki's Pub & Cafe

Aki’s is in a great ski in ski out location and known for the ‘best coffee in town’ located at the beginner slope with fantastic views and atmosphere to match. A great place to recharge and enjoy lunch and load the guilt free carbs to get you through the afternoon on the powder. Aki’s serve amazing pizzas and hot donuts plus a great selection of beer.

Drop Off Bar

This laid-back local serves up the ultimate après-ski comfort food, perfect for warming up after a big day on the slopes. Think piping-hot curries and proper Aussie meat pies (the owner hails from Down Under), alongside gyoza, yakitori and other izakaya-style bites. Something for everyone!

We booked through Anna O’Malley for our stay in Nozawa onsen Village in Japan. Seamless service, prompt, and pricing reasonable. The Shimataya View Hotel, was a lovely stay. Room size was large, great views, and Amazing service from Staff. Momoi and Eloisa couldn’t help enough- from dinner reservations to organising luggage to Tokyo. Property is older, though clean, well maintained. 10 min walk to slopes, 5 min walk to village centre. I recommend Mountain Watch, and this property. Photos are the view from our room.
