Rusutsu is located on the Northern Island of Hokkaido, where they receive some of the deepest, driest powder in the world. Located just 40 minutes from Niseko, Rusutsu features the same quantities of snowfall without the crowds. Rusutsu features a variety of terrain for all abilities, but it’s powder and perfectly gladed tree runs are its major draw card. Rusutsu features two self sufficient hotels at the base of the resorts with everything you need but as a result they’re relatively expensive and there’s not much more outside of these hotels. For nightlife we recommend staying in Niseko and visiting Rusutsu as a day trip.
