Revelstoke is located in British Columbia, and is best accessed via Kelowna International Airport, roughly 2 hours from the resort. Kelowna Airport has direct flight services from major cities including Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Los Angeles and Seattle, making it convenient to visit. From Kelowna you then have the option of hiring a car or taking a shuttle bus.
Revelstoke also has its very own airport available for private and charter aircrafts
If travelling from Calgary, Highway 1 is one of the most beautiful scenic drives in Canada. This route takes you through Banff National Park and past Lake Louise – worth a stop.
If you are making your way to Revelstoke from Kelowna, you will pass through Canada’s world renowned wine country, the Okanagan Valley. The drive is roughly 2.5 hours and is a scenic drive.
When hiring a car in the winter, be sure the car has winter tires installed. Winter tires are a requirement if you are driving on BC highways. They will help grip the roads in snowy/ icy conditions. We also highly recommend checking the road conditions prior to travelling in case of closures due to weather conditions, avalanche control, accidents, construction and maintenance.
Revelstoke only has one car rental service in town and only allows for local travel only. Be sure to plan travel ahead of time if you are wanting to pick up and drop off at specific destinations.
Rider Express shuttle service operates once a day from Calgary to Revelstoke and takes around 5.5 hours.
For those travelling from Kelowna Airport, Everything Revelstoke (Stoke Shuttle) runs a number of shuttles daily to/from Revelstoke.
For getting to the mountain each day you can take the Revelstoke Express which runs from all major hotels in town right to the base of the mountain and costs only $4 per person or you can purchase a 7 day unlimited ticket. The journey takes about 10 minutes easy way and runs every 20 minutes during peak times of the day in busy season.
