Meteor Pension is a Japanese family run ski lodge offering great service across a variety of room types. Rooms range from twin to six shared loft rooms, with or without ensuites. Offering great value accommodation in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There is a restaurant onsite, providing home cooked meals at reasonable prices.

Meteor Pension is located parallel to the main street of Echoland, which is home to some of the best restaurants, bars, and shops in Hakuba. They have a free shuttle bus service that runs to Hakuba Goryu, Hakuba47, Hakuba Happo-One and Hakuba Iwatake. They also have a free pick up and drop off service from the train station and bus stop. If you’re wanting to visit other resorts in the Hakuba Valley, Hakuba Basecamp is only a few minutes walk away and has shuttles to resorts throughout the Valley.

We booked through Anna O’Malley for our stay in Nozawa onsen Village in Japan. Seamless service, prompt, and pricing reasonable. The Shimataya View Hotel, was a lovely stay. Room size was large, great views, and Amazing service from Staff. Momoi and Eloisa couldn’t help enough- from dinner reservations to organising luggage to Tokyo. Property is older, though clean, well maintained. 10 min walk to slopes, 5 min walk to village centre. I recommend Mountain Watch, and this property. Photos are the view from our room.
