Appi Kogen is the largest ski resort in Tohoku, known for its long, wide, groomed runs. The resort has 21 courses ranging from beginner to advanced, easily accessed by good lift infrastructure, including 2 gondolas and 3 high speed hooded chairs.

Appi Kogen is a perfect resort for families for a number of reasons. It offers ski in ski out access, kids room and English speaking lessons as well as mellow beginner slopes and an outdoor kids play area with sleds, tubes and mini courses.

For the intermediate skiers and boarders, Appi is the perfect destination offering long groomed runs, the longest ‘Yamabato’ being 5.5kms. There is also a ‘skill up’ zone and mogul practice course for those wanting to improve their technique.

Appi is known for it’s beautiful groomed runs, however the resort also offers plenty of ungroomed terrain to ensure plenty of face shots. In recent years the off piste and side country has been expanded in specific tree riding zones. At the top of the mountain you will find Mt Nishimori, a highly acclaimed ungroomed powder trail for advanced skiers and boarders.

The Salomon Snowpark has been carefully designed by the experienced Salomon snowboard team, offering various rails, boxes and kickers for all levels.
