Elk + Avenue Hotel is a modern hotel right in the centre of Banff on Banff Avenue, with shops, restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance. It’s a good option for a winter ski stay, with comfortable rooms and lofts, a jacuzzi and dry sauna to relax in after skiing, plus full-size ski lockers and heated underground parking. There’s also Farm & Fire restaurant and a fireside lounge on-site, which is a nice spot for après-ski. The central location makes it easy to get around Banff and access the ski shuttles.

Breakfast is available (additional charge), & dining options include RG’s Lounge and Ricky’s All Day Grill. There is also an indoor whirlpool and dry cedar sauna. Complimentary heated underground parking is available for guests.

We booked through Anna O’Malley for our stay in Nozawa onsen Village in Japan. Seamless service, prompt, and pricing reasonable. The Shimataya View Hotel, was a lovely stay. Room size was large, great views, and Amazing service from Staff. Momoi and Eloisa couldn’t help enough- from dinner reservations to organising luggage to Tokyo. Property is older, though clean, well maintained. 10 min walk to slopes, 5 min walk to village centre. I recommend Mountain Watch, and this property. Photos are the view from our room.
