Snowbird is an extremely accessible resort, only a 45 minute drive from Salt Lake City International Airport. Salt Lake City International Airport supports plenty of flights from other major US cities.
Car Hire
When looking at renting a car, be sure they are equipped with snow tires or chains. Snow tires or chains are required on all vehicles entering the canyon. During heavy snowstorms the canyon may be temporarily restricted to 4WD or chain equipped vehicles.
You’ll find rental car companies such as Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Budget, Hertz, Avis and Almo conveniently located at Salt Lake International Airport.
Shuttle Bus
Canyon Transportation is a shared ride and private transportation service. With a variety of 4×4 vans in Utah this is a great option to get to your destination safely. Reservations are required to secure a seat.

Getting Around Snowbird
When you arrive in Snowbird a car is not required as the whole resort is accessible by foot. There is also a free shuttle that is available for visitors.
