WHY Myoko Kogen FOR Schools

Myoko Kogen is a stunning resort based in the Nagano Prefecture and receives some of the most snowfall in Japan. This resort offers the luxury of easy access via coach transfer, or shinkansen (bullet train) after flying into Tokyo.

This area on average receives the most amount of snowfall making it a popular choice for more seasoned skiers and boarders.

The main village, Akakura Onsen offers a traditional Japanese setting, with a few western eateries. This village is beautiful and quaint, making navigating the area on foot very easy.

The area is made up of several resorts, with two resorts within easy walking distance, and the other reachable via shuttle transfers.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1

Fly to Tokyo
Make your way to the airport and board your flight bound for Tokyo, Japan. Upon arrival, meet your coach to transfer you to your accommodation in Myoko. Make your way to the rental shop and get fitted out with your skis/snowboard sets.

Day 2

Myoko (Breakfast)
Meet your instructors for your first morning group lessons based on skill level. Lift passes included. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the slopes with your teachers.

Day 3

Myoko (Breakfast)
Meet your instructors for your first morning group lessons based on skill level. Lift passes included. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the slopes with your teachers.

Day 4

Myoko (Breakfast)
Meet your instructors for your first morning group lessons based on skill level. Lift passes included. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the slopes with your teachers.

Day 5

Myoko (Breakfast)
Enjoy a full day tour where you will visit the snow monkeys at Jigokudani Monkey Park and then reboard your coach to take you to Round 1 in Nagano. Here you’ll enjoy some recreational time exploring the Amusement Store with activities such as laser tag, batting cages, mechanical bulls, arcade games, and much more.

Day 6

Myoko (Breakfast)
Enjoy the day exploring the slopes with your teachers. Lift passes included.

Day 7

Hakuba (Breakfast)
Enjoy the day exploring the slopes with your teachers. Lift passes included.

Day 8

Myoko to Home (Breakfast)
Check out and meet your coach to transfer you to the airport. Board your flight to take you home.

We booked through Anna O’Malley for our stay in Nozawa onsen Village in Japan. Seamless service, prompt, and pricing reasonable. The Shimataya View Hotel, was a lovely stay. Room size was large, great views, and Amazing service from Staff. Momoi and Eloisa couldn’t help enough- from dinner reservations to organising luggage to Tokyo. Property is older, though clean, well maintained. 10 min walk to slopes, 5 min walk to village centre. I recommend Mountain Watch, and this property. Photos are the view from our room.
