WHY Mt Hutt FOR Schools
Mt Hutt enjoys one of the longest snow seasons in New Zealand which is traditionally open to ski enthusiastic travellers and locals from early June to mid October. Mt Hutt is not as famous at the resorts around Queenstown but less crowded and a great option for a school group visit.
The majority of people stay in the tranquil town of Methven, which is about a 45min drive to Mt Hutt.
This beautiful area is accessed by flying into Christchurch, an hour and a half from Methven.
SAMPLE INTINERARY
Travel To Methven Via Christchurch
Make your way to the airport and board your flight bound for Christchurch, NZ. Upon arrival, meet your coach to transfer you to your accommodation in Methven.

Board your coach to transfer you to Mt Hutt. Head to the rental shop on mountain and get fitted out with your skis/snowboard sets. After getting fitted out with your rentals, meet your instructors for your first morning group lessons, split according to skill levels. Lift passes included. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the slopes with your teachers. At the end of the day board your coach to take you back to your accommodation.
