Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel East Building is the more refined of the three Prince Hotel buildings at Yakebitaiyama, offering a comfortable ski-in/ski-out base directly on the slopes of Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort. The East Building has a quieter, more elegant atmosphere, with all rooms overlooking the ski slopes and a selection of twin, comfort twin, junior suite and suite rooms.

The hotel complex offers a wide choice of dining and après-ski options, with several restaurants and bars across the buildings, including Japanese, Western, izakaya and casual dining. Guests also have access to a public bath in the West Building, ski and snowboard rental, ski school, souvenir shop, free Wi-Fi and large complimentary parking facilities. A shuttle operates between the hotel buildings, making it easy to access the wider range of facilities.

We booked through Anna O’Malley for our stay in Nozawa onsen Village in Japan. Seamless service, prompt, and pricing reasonable. The Shimataya View Hotel, was a lovely stay. Room size was large, great views, and Amazing service from Staff. Momoi and Eloisa couldn’t help enough- from dinner reservations to organising luggage to Tokyo. Property is older, though clean, well maintained. 10 min walk to slopes, 5 min walk to village centre. I recommend Mountain Watch, and this property. Photos are the view from our room.
