Our Covid-19 Update – Extended Refund Policies

With the current situation regarding COVID-19, it is not surprisingly taking a massive toll on our business with all travel restricted for the foreseeable future. As a result we have made some changes to our booking policies to give customers greater peace of mind, as well as some restructuring to deal with the challenges currently facing the industry.

Business Update

Regrettably we have had to make the tough decision for staff to work part time until things resume to normal. For the health and safety of the team and those around us, we will have minimal staff working from our office, with staff working from home. If you have any questions during these times or would like to start planning a trip, we’d love to hear from you. Updated Booking Policies

We have been talking to a number of our suppliers and negotiating new terms and conditions which will allow you to book early, yet have peace of mind that your deposit is fully refundable. We would encourage you to start planning your Japan or North America trip while the early bird deals are on offer. If restrictions are still in place or you simply do not feel comfortable travelling we will refund your land package deposit in full anytime up to October 1st 2020 (valid with select properties).

As the situation with COVID-19 is constantly changing the airlines are adapting their policies to meet the demands of the environment. For this reason we would suggest holding off on booking flights until things have settled down, it is likely the airlines are going to have some massive sales when this is all over.

Many of the ‘Early Bird’ deals have now been released with more coming through over the next few weeks. We have a number of our recommended Hakuba hotels with 30% discount and Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel with its unbeatable Stay 7 Pay 4 deal, including 3 days free lift passes.

The team is eagerly awaiting to hear from you so we can discuss options and get started planning your next ski holiday as we all need something to look forward to at this time.

Kate McRobie is a digital marketing specialist with over ten years' experience across New Zealand, Amsterdam and Japan in the sports and snow industries, including campaigns for Netflix, Under Armour, Giant Bicycles and Vans. She spent two back-to-back seasons based in Niseko, Japan, heading up marketing for HTM across some of the region's largest hotels, ski schools, rental operations and restaurants.

We booked through Anna O’Malley for our stay in Nozawa onsen Village in Japan. Seamless service, prompt, and pricing reasonable. The Shimataya View Hotel, was a lovely stay. Room size was large, great views, and Amazing service from Staff. Momoi and Eloisa couldn’t help enough- from dinner reservations to organising luggage to Tokyo. Property is older, though clean, well maintained. 10 min walk to slopes, 5 min walk to village centre. I recommend Mountain Watch, and this property. Photos are the view from our room.
