20 minutes drive up the valley from the destination Happo One, It’s a little bit remote, but Cortina offers a unique snow holiday within Hakuba valley. Known as the place to be after a big powder dump, Cortina offers everything from challenging runs to off-piste adventures and relaxed slopeside experiences. This hidden gem in the Hakuba Valley truly has something for everyone.
As far as the snow goes you’ll be experiencing some of Japan’s finest powder, often Cortina will receive twice or 3 times what other resorts in Hakuba will.
Plenty of options for off-piste action, the groomed trails range from beginner level runs through to advanced runs hitting the 40-degree incline mark.
Its the tree skiing you want to visit Cortina for though. Cortina has some of the best tree skiing in all of Japan with no limitation on where you can ride and numerous off piste trails to explore. Whilst in resort you will find 16 runs, 7 lifts and runs which are over 3kms long.
