MW X Arrival Furano Powder Belt Tour

Score Japan’s deepest powder with expert local guides and serious flexibility to chase the best snow. P/P

Jan 12 - 19th, 2027

Group Tour in partnership with ARRIVAL Travel.

Want to really travel off-piste? This one’s for you. Chase Japan’s world-famous powder across Hokkaido’s wild north on this advanced-level Japan snow escape.

Skiing in Furano, located on the northern island of Hokkaido in Japan, is a fantastic experience for keen skiers and snowboarders. Known for its really dry powder snow, stunning scenery towards the national park, and less crowded slopes compared to more famous resorts like Niseko, Furano offers the perfect location for the last powder tour of the season!

You’ll stay twin-share with daily brekkie, plus a welcome and farewell dinner to bookend the trip. This is a flexible, powder-filled mission built for experienced skiers and riders who live for the deep stuff.

Day 1, Jan 12th

Warm Japanese Welcome

Arrive in Furano at your own pace. Settle into your twin-share digs and get to know your crew over a local welcome dinner. Guides will run through the trip plan, snow forecast and resort options. It’s a chilled first night to meet your powder posse, check gear and get hyped for what’s ahead. No riding today – just fuel up, rest up and get ready for ten big days chasing that sweet sweet powder.

  • Let your consultant know if you’d like to add an airport transfer from Sapporo to Furano.
  • Comfortable accommodation North Country Inn, Western Ensuite Room – Twin Share

Day 2, Jan 13th

Explore Furano

The powder chase begins. After breakfast, hop in the private shuttle and head to one of the local resorts. Since it’s your first day, we’ll most likely stay local and explore Furano. But your guides are watching weather patterns to score you the deepest turns. Expect leg-burning tree runs, wide bowls and Japow galore. After a full day, head back to Furano to refuel and maybe hit an onsen. This trip runs on stoke and day one delivers.

  • Daily Breakfast
  • Full Day Guiding Furano
  • Furano Lift Pass
  • Private Transfers to/from Ski Resorts
  • Optional Onsen Visit
  • Comfortable accommodation North Country Inn, Western Ensuite Room – Twin Share

Day 3, Jan 14th

Chase Those Conditions

Wake up to another day of guided riding. You might return to yesterday’s zone if it’s still firing or chase new snow elsewhere. It’s all about flexibility. No fixed schedule, just the best conditions possible. Guides will keep everyone scoring and safe, pointing out sidecountry lines if the group’s keen. Back in Furano, explore izakayas or get that ramen fix.

  • Daily Breakfast
  • Full Day Guiding Furano
  • Furano Lift Pass
  • Private Transfers to/from Ski Resorts

Day 4, Jan 15th

Deep Into The Powder Belt

More deep turns, more line-hunting. Conditions call the shots, so whether it’s Furano, Kamui, or another hidden gem, you’ll be where the snow’s best. Expect playful terrain, steep stashes and snow so deep you forget what skis look like. In the evening, soak in a traditional onsen or toast a Hokkaido brew with new mates.

Day 5, Jan 16th

Today could be one of the highlights of the trip, and one of the most memorable skiing destinations ever! We jump in the van nice and early, and drive just over an hour towards Asahidake. An active volcano, the highest mountain in the region and part of the Daisetsuzan National Park. It is famed for its deep powder and is a popular destination for backcountry skiing and snowboarding. There’s something really special about walking up to where the fumes escape the narrow crate and the smell of sulphur takes over the air. Strap in, and drop in right from there into some of the most amazing side- and backcountry lines ever!

After an epic day riding, we can relax in a stunning onsen, have a drink in the ice bar before heading back to Furano for a few cheeky Sapporo’s. It’s all good, you can let your hair down as tomorrow is a rest day.

  • Daily Breakfast
  • Full Day Guiding Asahidake
  • Asahidake Ropeway Pass
  • Private Transfers to/from Ski Resorts
  • Optional Onsen Visit
  • Comfortable accommodation North Country Inn, Western Ensuite Room – Twin Share

Day 6, Jan 17th

It’s a rest day… or, if you want to chase more powder, a day to book in one of the many available activities in Furano. Maybe you’d like to go touring up another active volcano, or get some incredible fresh tracks cat skiing. Maybe you just want to relax, jump in an onsen, get a massage or visit a spa.

  • Daily Breakfast
  • Comfortable accommodation North Country Inn, Western Ensuite Room – Twin Share

Day 7, Jan 18th

It’s the last day riding and what we do today depends on the group. There’s the option to ride around Furano, revisit everyone’s favourite runs of the week and send it just that little bit harder than before. Or… If everyone is up for one more adventure.. We can jump in the car early, and drive to Tomamu, or back to Kamui Links. Either way, we’ll make the most of the day by finding you the best possible, deepest untouched powder!

  • Daily Breakfast
  • Full Day Guiding
  • Lift Pass
  • Private Transfers to/from Ski Resorts
  • Optional Onsen Visit
  • Comfortable accommodation North Country Inn, Western Ensuite Room – Twin Share
