
ABOUT Mt Ruapehu
Mt Ruapehu is in the centre of New Zealand’s North Island and is comprised of two large resorts, Whakapapa and Turoa. The resorts are renowned for their expansive terrain and views across the North Island. Mt Ruapehu also features the longest season in NZ from June – October. While accommodation options on mountain are very limited, you can stay at Ohakune or the neighbouring town of Taupo. A visit to Mt Ruapehu is the perfect addition to a winter road trip through the North Island enjoying some of the country’s best experiences and sights.
