The resort Kicking Horse is a world-class hidden gem located 2.5-hours west of Calgary and 1.5 hours west of Banff. Situated between the Rocky Mountains and the Purcell in the heart of B.C. The most popular route for international travellers is to fly into Calgary and either drive to Kicking Horse Resort or alternatively catch a shuttle bus.
Car Hire
If hiring a rental car, this can be available at the Calgary Airport. The route you would take is 2.5 hours on the Trans Canada Highway 1 Westbound. This drive will take you through the beautiful Lake Louise and Golden. When you arrive into Golden you will need to take the turnoff to the resort and you’ll find Kicking Horse 14 km up the mountain.
Shuttle Bus
The shuttles from Calgary International Airport operate twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) or on request. The Kicking Horse YYC Express Shuttle is a shared service between Brewster Transportation and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. If you are taking the shuttle please arrive at the desk to check in 10 minutes prior to departure.
Alternatively shuttles can be taken from the city of Calgary as well.
