Happo Fire Festival February 16 2014

Why not coincide your holiday with the Happo Fire Festival, the climax of the ‘Hakuba Snow Love Festival’ which is a week long event. Activities and events include a skiing torch relay, opening ceremony, taiko performance, Kagamibiraki, tradtional + modern ski demonstration, elite skier demonstration, and formation skiing. The night then culminates in a huge fireworks display on the slopes. Food and sake is readily available with stalls all around the base of the slopes. If you want to combine some of the best skiing you will ever have with a typical Japanese festivity then this is a great opportunity to do so.
